*No spoilerMy brother recommended my to watch this, and I can see why he did that because he's an engineering student.
He said that it's like 'going back to childhood nostalgia', but I could find more 'emotional stuff that adults can understand better'. Anyway, I liked the most parts.
<Pros>
1. Very interesting background set-up
(No idea what happened to the future San Francisco though)
2. Brilliant ideas on "sciency" stuff
(Although I doubt that they are really "scientific" in real life...)
3. Very-well-reflected life as the college/university students
(Most college/university students can empathize on that)
4. Empathizing moments for adults: loss of family, emotional changes, hard efforts, moral development, etc.
5. NERDY POWER!
(Pretty much different to usual superhero stories)
<Cons>
1. Plot was pretty clich
é and too predictable
(However, I have to assume that this movie is for children, but still...)
2. The character portrayal is too focused on Hiro and Baymax; other college students lacked their personal character development and were more closed to minor characters, unlike the title Big Hero '6'
3. Could be a bit more fighting scenes instead of just two major fights
(I thought the genre was an action, but turned out to be a 'growth/development story'(?))
(Also the last fighting scene felt a bit loose)
4. The ending was too rushed, compared to all those details and character portrayals in the beginning
5. Some dialogues are too repetitive, which can be seen commonly in the child movie
Total score: 8.5/10"Very interesting "sciency" ideas and the background set-up. Individual character settings are also interesting and reflected the life as the college/university students very well. Has a lot of moments for adults to empathize and concern about. However, the plot was too cliché and the character portrayal is too focused on the main characters only."
