Sorry about the long hiatus. My spring term was pretty busy even after school. What happened since April were:
1. 2019 Paladins community skin contest (April~May): I had to prepare in the end of winter semester lacking time, because my school ended a week later due to Canadian Winter Game event in Red Deer. (Didn't expected such "outcomes", though...)
2. Spring course (May~June): It was about the brain activities on some basic physical and psychological phenomena. I enjoyed it, but it was pretty tough for a short amount of time to memorize the whole parts (and some "grammar" issues...). Also I was very exhausted in the end due to other reasons below. The final exam was just ended few days ago, and I think I'll pass anyway.
3. Canadian citizenship application (May~June): On the other side, I also had to process Canadian citizenship application for myself, my dad and my brother. I had some troubles and mistakes as a first try, but I just sent the application forms for me and my dad for now few days ago. I still need my brother's final check with him later, but his applications are almost complete, too. I do really HOPE they don't return to us since the fees are expensive and are not refundable...
4. Family matter (April~June): My brother actually had a really rough time in this winter semester with some mental health issues. (Sadly I was not aware of it until early May.) His winter courses were about to be failed or withdrawn, but with the help of his counselor thankfully, he was able to recover his mental attitudes and his course marks. This early morning today after those long waits, he finally confirmed that his exams are scheduled in the end of July and thus he'll visit my family in August. To be honest, I sometimes couldn't get myself together because I was so sick worried about my brother (in case of "plan failure" and/or emergency), but now I can finally get some rest not to worry about him anymore.
So guess I just had a hell of a ride with multiple tasks and worrisome in May and June.

However, I've been also working on my personal drawings in night time, and the prior ones are almost done. What I'm planning to do in this summer and much later on are:
1. Finish prior fan arts (up to 30(!)) in this summer, before going back to school (May~August): Because I probably won't have enough time to draw in school, and also I don't want to drag unfinished ones like forever. Most of them are actually Paladins fan arts because I got some new "unexpected" favourite characters in there...
2. Paladins fan skins project (August~?): During the preparation for 2019 Paladins community skin contest, I got a lot of rough ideas for other characters' fan skin concepts (as a back-up because by the time the final characters were not decided yet). But even after the contest, I thought maybe I should still draw these things just as a hobby later, just to share my ideas. (Because I now doubt that there would be another skin contest, and it was quite stressful to prepare for the contest - especially in the end of semester.) However, I got about 25(!) rough ideas, and it will take a hell of a time to finalize and actually draw fan skin concepts, but after I finish my unfinished prior drawings first. (I'm expecting about a year to take on.) I'm definitely sure that I'll start to submit prior ones in July/August.

Thank you for your understanding.

P.S.: I also was unable to manage dA account for months and thus have a massive unread notices. (I'm terrible at maintaining blog.) I recently felt that this is beyond my control and started to think of just cleaning them up without replies, or maybe just cleaning group deviation notices.

Hello guys, long time no see.
As expected, I've been busy with school stuff. But I've been still tried to work on my personal drawings more.

The thing is that, few years ago, my college (building) somehow decided to host Canada Winter Game 2019 (I guess something like Canadian national Olympic) in this city (currently where I and the school are). But the problem was that somehow someone who decided it did not or forgot to concern about the rooms where the athletes should stay and sleep (or maybe the hotels were not available). So it ended up that they decided to use students' residence instead during the game, and our students have to pack all our stuff and have to move to another area temporarily (for a month: Feb 9th~Mar 6th).
And also I have a mid-term tomorrow, so it's been quite busy with studying and also packing my stuff and cleaning the room.
Instead, we got 2 weeks of reading weeks due to Canada Winter Game. I'll probably end up doing whole bunch of assignments during the reading weeks, but I'll still try to actually draw something a bit.

The reason why my uploading takes forever is that, I still have many unfinished ones (I'm a slow person), and I also made another many rough ones, too! I decided to draw a lot of Paladins (game) fan arts (especially for Jenos and Dredge), which I recently started to play few months ago.
However, March has been always busy for students, and I also got a spring course in May to June. So I'm assuming that I'll be able to complete them nearly at the end of winter semester (April).

So please understand me for this hiatus.
Cheers.

*No spoiler

My brother recommended my to watch this, and I can see why he did that because he's an engineering student.
He said that it's like 'going back to childhood nostalgia', but I could find more 'emotional stuff that adults can understand better'. Anyway, I liked the most parts.

<Pros>
1. Very interesting background set-up
(No idea what happened to the future San Francisco though)
2. Brilliant ideas on "sciency" stuff
(Although I doubt that they are really "scientific" in real life...)
3. Very-well-reflected life as the college/university students
(Most college/university students can empathize on that)
4. Empathizing moments for adults: loss of family, emotional changes, hard efforts, moral development, etc.
5. NERDY POWER!
(Pretty much different to usual superhero stories)

<Cons>
1. Plot was pretty cliché and too predictable
(However, I have to assume that this movie is for children, but still...)
2. The character portrayal is too focused on Hiro and Baymax; other college students lacked their personal character development and were more closed to minor characters, unlike the title Big Hero '6'
3. Could be a bit more fighting scenes instead of just two major fights
(I thought the genre was an action, but turned out to be a 'growth/development story'(?))
(Also the last fighting scene felt a bit loose)
4. The ending was too rushed, compared to all those details and character portrayals in the beginning
5. Some dialogues are too repetitive, which can be seen commonly in the child movie

Total score: 8.5/10
"Very interesting "sciency" ideas and the background set-up. Individual character settings are also interesting and reflected the life as the college/university students very well. Has a lot of moments for adults to empathize and concern about. However, the plot was too cliché and the character portrayal is too focused on the main characters only."

*No spoiler but includes some trivia

I finally saw it! I was able to saw the Korean animation movie, Padak (파닥파닥) on Steam.

I was pretty sick of all those "cute and bright" Disney movies. However, this one's like an anti-thesis against such movies . I've been seeking this kind of 'realistic' movies, and also feel that we need more of these kind of things.
I highly recommend this movie, if you can handle some grotesque scenes. (Thus I wasn't able to show this to my mom; she'll be freaked out.)
(And my dad...he's just worried about all those seafood restaurant in Korea...)
9/10. Very touching.

*Trivia 1: The name "Zooldom" is actually a wrong translation; it's Anago, a Japanese name for eel. And Zooldom(줄돔) is actually the Korean name for the stripe one (Bream).
*Trivia 2: The movie was rated as like 'everyone +10' in Korean when it was on theatres. I heard that A LOT OF children and babies cried... :(
*Trivia 3: According to the director, those clownfish in a decorative fish tank were supposed to be goldfish at first. But then he heard someone saying like "playing/copying like Finding Nemo", and he was upset and changed them as clownfish.

*If you guys know about some cultish(?) movie (the ones that the majority doesn't know or dislike, but few people really love) could you recommend me some of that? Thanks.
Man, it's been so long time that I couldn't draw fan arts and maintain my dA account properly because I was so busy with the school works.
I'm so glad it's all over, for now, and finally take some rest. I can finally restart my whole bunch of delayed fan art drawings again.

1. I will resume my fan art drawings again as usual. But this might take some time since I still need to move away from my residence and I haven't used my drawing tablets for quite some time maybe require some 'warming-up' time. However, I will try to resume it as soon as possible since I got an request like few months ago...
I have some plans for what to draw:
1) (Delayed) Fallout 4 fan arts
2) 'Nostalgia Project': fan arts that are "nostalgic" to me - currently has a list of: Coraline (movie), 9 (animated movie), Marble Hornets (Youtube Slenderverse video series) (might add other Slenderverse video series, too), KartRider (old Korean on-line game), and Osmosis Jones (movie)
3) Some Team Fortress 2 fan arts
4) My Favourite Streamers fan arts (if time allows in the end)
5) Some lineless painting practice with the photo reference from the Internet

2. It's hard to believe myself, but I'm also planning watch some movies during the summer with my brother's Netflix account. (I realized that I still prefer old movies and cultish movies.) The problem is that some movies are not in Canadian Netflix so I'll have to find them in other ways...
1) Osmosis Jones: damn I'm dying to watch this again, so I decided to draw its fan arts until I find the movie.
While I was doing my large drawing project (the Weather Factory), I thought about this movie and the science of how human body works. (I actually watched this on Youtube with very low quality about 5 years ago.) And now I see that it has some kind of cultish(?) interest for some people with fan arts; I was so glad that I'm not the only one. (Also willing to watch some Ozzy and Drix episodes in Youtube, too.)
2) Padak (파닥파닥): a Korean version of Finding Nemo (with realism and gore)
This one is available in Steam, so I'll probably buy it and watch together with my dad because he loves sea foods.
3) Coraline (watching again: I already have its DVD and I somehow miss its cozy atmosphere.
4) Some horror movies (Blare Witch Project, The Conjuring and the Paranormal Activity) with my brothers Netflix account, because I feel I'm ready to watch horror movies now.
5) (Drama) Stranger Things (Season 2): because I don't have Netflix account
6) (Series) Red vs. Blue (Season 15): just because I wanted to watch all episodes at once
7) (Optional) Slenderverse Youtube video series (watching again): Marble Hornets, EVERYMAN Hybrid, TribeTwelve and DarkHarvest
8) (Optional) Poison Berry in My Brain (脳内ポイズンベリー): a Japanese version of Inside Out (with grown people)
However, I don't think I can find this nowhere in the Western Internet...

3. I might learn how to actually drive (for the driver license) and get a part-time job in my parents' town. I'm also expecting that I might be busy again preparing for transfer and moving to another college/university in the summer. (I don't know where to go yet.)

4. I might make Facebook and Twitter account only for art uploading purpose rather than personal diary or something. (I'm terrible at maintaining SNS.) Just wanted to test my influence(?) with art or something.

5. I'm also gonna start to play Ingress (GPS-based mobile game of the ground picks(?) with world scale). My parents' town is a countryside so it might be hard to me to play, but I might often go out to city. Also I'll probably join the Enlightened faction (the green one) because the Resistance faction (the blue one)'s goal sounds a bit...atheistic. (No offence though)

I think that's all for now. I actually just want to rest and play games for now because I haven't rest well even after the last day of class with my transfer portfolio.
